BTSC Case Study
The BTSC centre is a City & Guilds and NIC Approved Assessment Centre for gas. It covers over 65,000 sq.ft. in a brand new building and is almost certainly the finest plumber training facility in the UK. Vanguard Contracts was appointed the Main Contractor to undertake all works to the £2 million project.
Specially designed & custom built training areas divided into 12 separate bays on the ground floor, provide each trainee with their own training area. Additionally there are other areas for bench-work, practical training and assessments.
The first floor comprises of air-conditioned classrooms, self study classrooms and test rooms. A customised viewing gallery upon a purpose built mezzanine, oversees the student training area.
A further second floor provided further administration offices, self study and assessment areas. There are also trainee relaxation areas where food and drink are available, equipped with TV and online computer facilities.
All areas are equipped to the highest standards with many safety features. This enables trainees to learn a new lifetime skill safely, in the ultimate plumber training environment and become one of the UK’s most highly qualified new plumbers.
The project was completed to a very high standard, to the complete satisfaction of the client.
