Allied Carpets Case Study
With over 220 stores throughout the UK, Allied Carpets have earned their leading name in flooring having provided quality floors to some of Britain's best known manufacturers for over 50 years.
Consequently when it was decided that their Durham store was to be relocated to a brand new 7,000 sq ft out of town retail unit it was crucial that the in store image paralleled their excellent reputation. With this in mind, Vanguard Contracts was employed as Principal Contractor to carry out the full refurbishment of the building ready for merchandising by the customer.
Vanguard was able to assume overall responsibility for the project, from organisation and management through to implementation, which ensured a smooth operation with minimal disruption.
The six week contract involved a retail mezzanine floor being fitted with full fire protection to one hour standard below.
Warm air ventilation and lighting were installed to create a bright spacious environment for both worker and customer.
Additionally, Vanguard erected a large compartment wall as a divider between customer and non-retail areas and handled all perimeter dry lining and decorations as well as constructing an amenity block at the rear of the premises.
